CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE

GST

All prices quoted excludes 10% GST, unless otherwise detailed.

Payment

For new clients, all orders to the value of less than $1,000 require a 30% deposit with the

balance COD, i.e. paid prior to installation, delivery or pick-up. All clients are welcome to

inspect their signs at our factory prior to despatch.

For new clients, all orders greater than $1,000 require a 30% deposit prior to commencement

of production. Balance payable following installation.

For self-installs, full payment is to be received prior to pick-up.

Validity of Quote

All prices are valid for 28 days from date of quote.

Primary Wiring

Prices exclude costs of connecting primary wiring from the sign or transformers to your

switchboard, to be by others, your account.

Pylon Footing

Where our price includes the installation of concrete footings, we have allowed to excavate

clay or loam. If the excavation encounters existing concrete, rock, shale, water, silt, loose or shifting earth or hand filling, (e.g. building rubble), an additional amount will be charged, which will be on an extra cost basis.

Installation prices do not include concrete cutting or underground scan services when required.

Fascia Signs

Where our price includes installation our price is based on a solid fascia with adequate

supports to take our fascia system. If supports or strengthening of fascia is required then extra costs will be charged.

Installation price is based on fascia being 4m above flat level ground using scaffolding. If

special elevating equipment is required for safe access to sections of fascia then extra costs will ensue.

Installation

The prices quoted for installation assume that, in the case where more than one sign is to be installed, all signs are installed together (i.e. as part of the one job). If a sign is required more urgently than others, this may incur an additional fee due to travel time, the re-hire of lifting equipment, etc.

Artwork

Where required, one draft of artwork will be provided prior to order to show how the proposed sign/s will appear. However, if subsequent pre-order artwork is required this will be charged at $100 plus GST. This fee, however, will be waived from the contract price should the sign/s be ordered.

For use when manufacturing, our preference is for all artwork to be in vectorised, Adobe CS4 Photoshop or Illustrator format - one image per file - pre press standard, ie. text and stroke converted to outlines for use on Mac OS system. All colour information to be provided as Pantone Color Matching - PMS colours.

Engineers Computations/Council Permits

The prices quoted include the cost of applying for Planning and Building Approvals but

excludes costs of Engineers Computations or Permit Fees as required by Councils.

Should installations require footway permits, road closures, traffic diversions or traffic

management, then additional costs will be charged for the supply of relevant labour and safety barriers/clothing necessary to abide by Council/Worksafe instructions.

Prices may vary after receiving Engineers Computations should computations, soil test, or,

wind loadings alter the sizes and type of structure allowed for in quotation.

Electrical Power Lines - ‘No Go Zone’

If installation requires ‘Safety Permit’ when working close to street electrical cables and they have to be covered for installation access, or, a ‘spotter’ needs to be employed for safety and permit conditions, then these additional costs will be passed on once established.

Warranty

All signage manufactured and installed by Metro Signs is covered by a twelve (12) months

warranty on all labour and materials from completion date of manufacture.
